PPT to PDF Layout Problems: Fix Fonts, Blurry Images, and Cropping

Text and images that look right in PPTX can wrap differently, overlap, or get cropped in another rendering environment. Identify the symptom and fix the source file before converting again.

Keep a reference copy

Open the source in the application used to create it. Note the correct cover, complex chart slides, and final page. Save a separate working copy before changing anything. The tool accepts .pptx; open legacy .ppt files in compatible software and save as .pptx first. Renaming the extension is not a conversion.

Convert again and compare the same problem slide. Change one class of issue at a time so that you can see what helped.

Why fonts affect layout

The conversion server may not have the fonts installed on the computer that created the deck. Font embedding can depend on the font, the file, and the renderer’s ability to use it; embedding alone is not a guarantee of identical output.

Check headings that mix writing systems and numbers, unusual bold or italic weights, and text close to a box edge. Different font metrics change line wrapping and can affect nearby objects. Leave space around important titles. When a particular appearance matters more than text editing, a title can be turned into an image in the source copy, but that reduces editability and searchability.

Fix canvas size and static content in the source

The online tool returns a PDF file without a browser “Print to PDF” step. Changing browser paper size is therefore not the primary repair for this workflow. Inspect the PPTX canvas ratio, object boundaries, masters, and backgrounds, then inspect the returned PDF.

Animation, video, and transitions do not remain full playback behavior in a static PDF. If a conclusion appears only at one animation stage, create a static slide that shows it explicitly.

Convert the revised file in AiCanvasly

3. Inspect the PDF preview and save the downloaded file.
4. Compare slide count, the problem pages, cover, charts, and final page with the source.
5. If the browser blocks the download, use the download-again control. If the server returns an error, note the message before retrying.

A successful download does not prove that every page is visually correct. Inspect the actual output, particularly for special fonts and complex Office objects. The tool does not promise pixel-identical results for every file.
